Pixel Painting finally done!

(i feel the need to add, out of my own disappointment and loss, that i mixed over 800 individual colors for this painting.)

Here is my pixel painting i did for my Color Theory class. i opted for the extra credit (go figure...) and added shapes inside the pixel squares, in the style of Chuck Close.

For best viewing:

You should view them together, enlarged, and stand about 10 feet or so from your monitor. (unless you are unable to enlarge, then a bit closer perhaps.)

(you can also look at it with one eye, or squint your eyes to get the right effect.)

Sunday

Sunday was a very long day.
i finished my ink drawing for class (due Monday). (this is a "translation" of the last drawing i did in charcoal of the same subject, but this time all pen and ink and ink wash)

it is hard to see all the details in either picture because there are very fine lines throughout.

 i started working on it at about 11:30am (sunday) and finally called it quits at about 9:30pm.
This week i have to finish 2 linocut prints, a pixel painting and probably more. No sleep for me!
